Living Life in Crutches

I haven't written in a while, which by no means affects your lives. I'm writing right now because I'm in a cafe, with lemonade at hand, and an incredibly smelly man sitting next to me. Why don't boys shower?

Anyway I have a confession. I've been living my life in crutches these past few months. I was part of a traumatic experience (that word is weighed heavily here) while in the midst of looking for a job. I've brought it up in the past but it really messed with me. It still does a little.

After dwelling about it, and I realize I'm not being specific, I realized that I'm using that experience as a crutch from moving on. I'm using the fear as a crutch of not "manning" up and moving on. My life has had a lot of ups and downs and I need to appreciate the ups more. Life moves on regardless of what happens in my life. Life moves on. Whether it's death, scams, sickness, or gross smelly people crossing your paths. So why do we give in? Why do we give into anxiety? To depression? 

Point is we're all just trying to survive, so no matter what the case is, no matter what we're struggling with we can't just stop. We can't just give up. I know it's easier said than done, but I'm going to challenge you into doing something. If you find yourself in a slump, stop slumping and do something...anything....it doesn't matter what it is! (Masturbate even!) And then tell us about it. Whether as a facebook status, a blog or a song. Tell yourself about it. Remind yourself that you're doing life, that you're living it.

I'm saying this as a reminder for myself but also as a helpful guidance to others who can relate. 

Live on sistas. Live on brothas.
